Welcome to the website of the Erasmian European Youth Parliament Rotterdam 2009. The EEYP, taking place the 9th February until the 15th of February 2009. This year the EEYP will be taking place for the second time and it will be bigger, longer and hopefully even more productive.
During this year's edition we will mainly be focussing on problems in big city's in Europe. The delegates will be trying to improve the quality of life, the environment and the economy. Furthermore there will be debates and discussions about important subjects such as integration and education.

During 2009 Rotterdam is the first Youth Capital of Europe. This edition of EEYP will hopefully be the first in a series of European Youth Parliaments in Youth Capitals all throughout Europe. We can only assume everyone will do his very best to make EEYP 2009 a great succes, so that the concept can be kept alive.

The programme and more detailed information about the EEYP can be found on the site. We'll do our best to update and complete the information as much as necessary.
We ask your special attention for the subjects. These subjects are the framework for the discussions and the resolutions.

We reccomend to use the website as a communication medium. It can be used to get in touch with other delegates and to pre-discuss the subjects online. If you have any suggestions, useful documents or links, please post them on the website. We urge everyone to prepare well for the event, so that we can make it an enjoyable and fruitful week. Remember that a good preparation is half the job! We hope to see you in Rotterdam soon!
